No respectable entrance way should be without a welcoming wreath to celebrate the season. Textural evergreens, disregarded at any other time of the year come into their own in winter when all else has faded. Indeed they almost shine. Oily foliages such as eucalyptus and rosemary provide evocative scents. Naked, twiggy elder with its tiny tassels and the knobbly arching branches of larch, with their own decoration, in the form of wooden roses, contribute an element of wild abandon and long stemmed thyme, should you choose to include it a devil may care, tousled air. Berries and pine cones can be added for a splash of colour, but if you prefer understated elegance , in the form of tactile, trailing velvet ribbon, we have a selection of rich, wintery colours to choose from. On each of the Saturdays and Sundays there will be two classes. The first from 10-12 and the second from 2-4pm. The Friday classes will run in the evenings from 6-8pm. Our wreaths will be made from scratch on a damp moss and wire base and will last from the end of November right through the Christmas period and beyond.
Our winter wreath classes provide the ideal opportunity to meet up with existing friends or to make new acquaintances, to take a few hours out of life in order to allow the creativity to flow naturally, or with the aid of a bubbly beverage. On that note there will be ample tea, coffee, bubbles and cake to fuel nimble fingers, encourage conversation and coax a few laughs. As with all of our classes, all materials will be provided.
